ABG- The Big Boss of Brands – IIM RAIPUR
ABG group with its wide portfolio of brands across all sectors, has touched my life one way or the other. Every day I come across their brands around 100 times, which I don’t even notice. You can realize how big ABG is from one of the most memorable day of my life.
I received my first paycheck and decided to celebrate the occasion with my family. We planned for a shopping. What would I give them??? Dress seemed good. We went to planet fashion, bought a Louis Philippe shirt for my father, an Allen solly shirt for my brother and a peter England shirt for myself. All the major brands mentioned here are from ABG group and even planet fashion, where I bought these dresses is an ABG establishment. May be the cement used to construct the retail shop would also be from ultratech which again is an ABG brand. This is the power of ABG group. They help spread happiness in my family and in millions of family across world. The brand they have are really powerful and is an asset to one’s life. My home, where all my memories are created even has another ABG product, the Hindalco roofing. The power of ABG group is beyond words. If ABG group has played such great roles in my life think what all roles would it have played in your lives? Isn’t it wonderful to have such a big conglomerate in our homeland?
I am proud of having such a big conglomerate in our country and the efforts they make to make our lives simpler and merrier.
It really is the Big Boss of Brands.
Part B
MY JOURNEY – IIM RAIPUR
My life really was a rough sea. The challenges I faced during my childhood days was many. During my plus two education I was sent to an entrance coaching institute where I was made to compete against the best of nation. Coming from a small town of Kerala, initially I was not able to cope up with the competition. Then slowly I started catching up with them and secured admission in a good engineering college. Life passed on, I went to work abroad away from my dear and near.
The second big challenge in my life came when I decided to quit my high paying job in Qatar and decided to have my own startup in India. I always dreamt of paying back the society which has helped me grow up. All plans were set for the startup and then the startup was launched few days after my return. Those days were really the toughest days in my life, I struggled a lot getting clients for my startup, after 1 year of efforts on it, I couldn’t make it successful. It failed. But I learnt a lot from it. This experience has helped me a lot in my life. The challenges this startup has given me helped me go forward in life. I always had dreamt of having a degree from IIM. I had no doubt what I had to do next. I made up my mind. Nothing less than an MBA from an IIM, that was my dream. I spent around 6 months whole heartedly on it and then yes, finally cracked CAT and here I am, sitting in one of the best campuses across Indian B schools, typing this article.
