How has Aditya Birla Group affected my life?
Aditya Birla Group (ABG) has ventured in to different domains of manufacturing and the service sector. Its product outreach is vast and touches each and every individual on a personal note. The group has interests in viscose staple fiber, metals, cement (largest in India), viscose filament yarn, branded apparel, carbon black, chemicals, fertilizers, insulators, financial services, telecom, BPO and IT services. The company is one of the leading conglomerates to have made it large in the world of business. Its span reaches around 34 countries with a team of around 120,000 employees. Its varied products have not only reached places but also touched hearts of its consumers. ABG takes tremendous pain to make sure its commercials are clean and family-friendly in an expletive-ridden Ad-space which is very commendable too.
ABG’s venture in the telecom services has enabled individuals to connect with their friends and families across boundaries. I am also benefiting from the same because of Vodafone Idea Limited. Vodafone's SuperNet 4G enables me to do research on the go and transcend borders of communication.
As I type this, I can’t stop thinking that I am wearing an Allen Solly T-shirt. This is a perfect example of how ABG’s products are becoming an integral part of our daily existence. ABG’s online clothing portal of ABOF is also frequented by me to grab on deals on various latest fashion brands and accessories. Be it casual clothing to formal apparel, ABG provides us with a variety of clothing apparel at our disposal. Aditya Birla Group’s outreach has expanded over the years and benefited its consumers over the years extensively.
PART B
How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far.
Challenges are a part and parcel of life. A life without challenges will be too boring. Challenges test your resilience towards difficult or unknown situations. They make you wiser and improve your capabilities. The most important thing is to challenge yourself to greater heights. Each challenge that you set for yourself should help you become better.
The recent challenge that I had to face was, my preparations for competitive exams to get in to a reputed MBA college. Post preparations comes the most important process of personal interviews. You have to ‘suit-up’ for the occasion and what else than Louis Philippe’s suits would make me look professional during the interview process.
And now that I am a part of Goa Institute of Management, and the hostel life has begun. What more than freshly made sweets, would satisfying my cravings of home cooked food? The FreshWrap and Freshpakk products help me keep this food fresh and edible for the longest period.
The Aditya Birla Group also indirectly impacts my life by taking measures to improve our society and country and making it a better place for all of us to live. Its CSR initiatives in Healthcare, Education, Livelihood, Infrastructure and its endeavor in making model villages is indeed making our society better. The Group is also acting responsible towards its actions which will impact the future generations and has thus rightly taken Sustainability into account. The ABG thus aligns with my views of sustainability and has contributed substantially towards progress of the society.
