Part B – How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions

 In life so far

No one can deny that there are many different moments in our life when we are sad or disappointed; often there are various times that are bitter and very unpleasant. We cannot totally avoid these aspects of our life, as it is always interrelated with the other people and everything can drastically change any moment. A lot of people find these challenges to be too hard for them and they choose to escape from such situations.

But as for me, I choose to perceive these challenges in such a way that they polish my character and make me a better person.

So, to start off with the challenges that I faced in my life until now, first and the most difficult one was to decide about my career choices.

I am a Computer Science Engineer and got a great job in a big and reputed IT company. I wasn't actually interested in coding and didn't want to do this IT job. While many people suggested to go on with this job opportunity, I still wasn't sure about this as I wanted to do something else. So, going against all I decided not to take the job offer and started preparing for different competitive exams. I am really glad that my parents supported me with this choice. The real struggle started here when me myself and many others had expectations from me. Also, days started becoming very hectic and all my friends were away, busy with their respective jobs in different cities. So, I had none of my good friends with me in this tough time. Also, I had some more personal problems in my life which totally disturbed my schedule for studies and I wasn’t able to give my 100%. Realizing that life doesn't always give second chance, I decided to be stronger and avoid everything happening around me. I decided my actual goal and focused on that, I spent hours studying, whole day and even nights. My mock test results started improving and this really motivated me to perform even better. I performed well in the exams and finally made it to one of the best B-Schools. The hectic MBA life, full of sleepless nights and days full of work with strict deadlines has also made a difference in how evolved I am now. Finally, I could see how important is to face and overcome your challenges rather than running away from them.

Apart from this I have also evolved as a person. I was not so comfortable in talking to new people but as my MBA life started, I made sure that I do interact and meet new people as we can always learn new things and listen to various experiences from different people.

Also, I had to overcome my gullible nature as I used to trust people easily, get emotionally attached and later on get disappointed for trusting those people. I changed a lot as a person and I am really grateful that I did, because of these changes only I am where I wanted to be and was able to achieve my goals and ambitions.
