Aditya Birla Group being the 3rd largest private sector conglomerate in India with US$44.3 Bn revenue in 2018, ABG has definitely been an essential part of my life through its various product lines and significant presence in Indian markets.
Three of the basic needs an average middle-class family has in urban areas are a house of their own, car and good clothes and me being no different has always aspired for the same for which ABG has been a big part. Recently, my family remodeled our house from scratch, definitely one of the most important events of our lives, to which ABG provided with all the stability and longevity required with their UltraTech cement, the largest cement company of India. Trust is all you need while building a home, and with ABG, trust is what you get. Coming to the need of a car, driving is never easy on Indian roads and protecting your car from any damage becomes all the more important. This is where ABG comes in with their insurance plans providing much needed protection, enabling us to be on the road, freely. Starting on my postgraduate education in management, professional attire is of utmost importance and with a variety of product lines like Louis Phillippe, Allen Solly, VanHeusen, Peter England etc. ABG becomes a one stop solution for providing with formal wear for budding managers like me to kickstart their professional journey. Hence, Aditya Birla Group is one of the most trusted brands in India, working for more than 150 years, and providing a lot of value in day to day lives of people of India and definitely has contributed a lot in mine and will continue to do so.
Talking about my journey, I remember in class 10thwhen I chose to opt for Commerce for higher education, I was clear that I want to get in management in future. 2 years hence and I went through the process of selection in Bachelor in Management Studies (BMS) course in some of top colleges in Delhi University as per the laid-out plan I had for myself. But I learned it the hard way that life doesn’t work always according to your plans and I couldn’t make through to any of my desired colleges. Then, I took a different turn in my journey and went on to complete my under graduation in statistics from Sri Venkateswara College and also cleared some actuarial papers along the way. From there on I got into a stable and rewarding career path in Actuarial industry where I worked for 2 years but never knew that the management bug in me never died. I knew I had to give another shot to a career in management, so I decided that failure is not an option this time and worked hard and was able to crack CAT. All this got me into one of the premier B-schools of the country, where I believe my long lost plan of building a career in management will finally bear fruit. Now, I wish to become a part of reputed Aditya Birla group with one of the best management roles in the country and unleash my potential as a leader.
