What is the PGDBA?

The 2-year program called the - Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) is a unique collaboration by IIM Calcutta, IIT Kharagpur, and ISI Kolkata. It is a specialized program designed for people aspiring for a future in business analytics. 

To get admission to the PGDBA program, aspirants need to clear the PGDBA entrance exam (paper-based) cut-offs, and then appear for Personal Interview (PI).

PGDBA 2024 Admissions: Important Dates

Who Are Eligible?

1. A candidate must hold a graduate/postgraduate degree with 10 + 2 + 4 or 10 + 2 + 5 or 10 + 2 + 3 + 2, with at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the Qualifying Degree (i.e., B.Tech./ B.E./ M.Sc./ M.Com. or equivalent). A one-year MBA will not be considered equivalent to M.Sc./ M.Com.

2. Candidates with 10 + 3 (Engineering diploma) + 3 (lateral entry into B.E./ B.Tech.) with at least 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the Qualifying Degree (i.e., B.Tech./ B.E.), or with 10 + 2 + 4 (B.Sc.) with at least 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the Qualifying Degree (i.e., B.Sc.), or with qualified CA/CS/ICWA with at least 60% marks (Intermediate and Final examinations of the CA/CS/ICWA considered together) are also eligible.

3. For SC/ ST and Person with Disabilities (PwD) category candidates, the qualifying marks for eligibility shall be 55% or a CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale.

4. Candidates completing their final year are eligible to apply, provided they appear in the final examination and complete other academic requirements as mentioned above.

• Test duration - 3 hours
• Total questions - 50 questions 
• Total marks - 150 marks

Marking scheme is: 

1. +3 for every correct attempt
2. -1 for every incorrect attempt 
3. 0 for every unattempted question
