The Aditya birla group has left a lasting impression in my life. Brands like Van-Heusen, Peter England, Louis Philippe have always been a problem solver for me, all my life. The group's firm Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd operates multi brand retail outlet Pantaloons and Forever 21. Whenever I had to buy apparels, I knew retail outlets like Planet Fashion and Pantaloons would serve as my one stop solution for shopping. The actual shopping experience was also very convenient and I didn’t need to research much into the current fashion trends while shopping there, as I always found apparels that I was looking for, keeping me aligned with the current fashion trends. Planet fashion has more than one hundred fifty retailers in 100 cities throughout India and Madura Fashion & Lifestyle, The Aditya Birla Group’s retail store enterprise, has 1,500 premium multi-brand shops along with 320+ departmental shops worldwide, which in itself speaks about their global outreach.
Talking about the telecom industry major Vodafone Idea ltd, it’s a leading telecom operator with a subscriber base of 387 million and a market share of 38%, with a vision to create world class digital experiences to connect and inspire every Indian to build a better tomorrow. It has played a vital role in my life, ever since stepping away from home for further studies, I was relying on my idea cellular prepaid mobile connection, to able to talk to my parents and friends at home. Even today, in the world of data and social networking, idea has helped me to access the 3g/4g internet services on the go and keep up with today’s faced paced world.
Life is full of challenges, I try to meet each and every challenge that I face with confidence as I like to think of challenges as opportunities to grow.
Though I have faced many different challenges in life starting from early childhood, i feel the most significant challenge, that I had faced, was during one of my job assignments, while working at Circle office, Mumbai, PNB.
Having your office in south Mumbai can be a challenge in itself, for someone, who is not used to the rush hour traffic of the Mumbai local trains.
It was during June 16 Quarterly closing, usually, the time of the year when the qualities of most of the employees such as skill-set, perseverance and handling high work-loads are tested in most organisations. This was just after the 9 months of intensive class-room training that we had received at PNB CSC, Delhi. Even though I was well versed with most of the technical terms, different procedures, schemes etc, the situation that I had to deal with during those times were much different and required different capabilities and skill-set. It was certainly challenging but going through such an experience helped to develop my leadership skills, handling work-pressure better and overall it helped me to become a better person.
I am still learning and through these experiences I have understood that both success and failures are part of the learning process, however, how we are able to face and overcome the challenges faced, determine our life’s achievements, that make up our life.
