Aditya Birla Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate, headquartered in Worli, Mumbai, India. Its products have touched many lives not just in India but all over the world. The Aditya Birla Group is active in 14 industry sectors and has achieved global and national leadership in several businesses. Personally, the brands associated with Aditya Birla has impacted my life in addition to the millions of lives it has impacted worldwide. My father works in the Insurance sector and he is very well acquainted with the perks Aditya Birla Health Insurance Limited provides to its customers. Due to these benefits that are provided it influences other companies to alter their methods in order to remain competitive. Aditya Birla Health Insurance Limited has undertaken various internal and external sustainability efforts to be a sustainability leader in its sector. UltraTech Cement Limited is the largest manufacturer of cement in India and related to the cement industry what I believe is one can only become the No.1 with the trust that is attached to the brand. In many countries especially in India where people lose their life due to inferior quality cement being used in making roads, bridges, and walls, UltraTech gives a sense of security to people by using their premium quality cement in making structures. One of the most popular fashion retail store Pantaloons which is a part of Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL) houses the most trustworthy clothing brands which are certified by not only me but my complete family. Being a Bengali, we take pride in flaunting our new clothes during Durga Puja and our family has been a regular customer of Pantaloons for the last 12 years and even now whenever I go to Kolkata for me it is the go-to store in order to buy clothes of the latest fashion. In addition to that Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL) also houses bulk fashion brands such as Allen Solly, Ralph Lauren, Van Heusen, Peter England, Louis Philippe and many others of which my family has been associated with a majority of these brands. These are only some of the particular scenarios in which I know about Aditya Birla influencing my life and knowing that how Big Aditya Birla Group really is I am sure that it has influenced many lives all over the world.
How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far
Challenges are what makes life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful. Throughout my life, I have faced many challenges and these have influenced me to become the person that I am today. During my B.Tech in KIIT University Bhubaneswar, I was the Technical Head of the team that competed in Baja Student India which is a national level competition. There were times when I had to spent sleepless nights working on our All-Terrain Vehicle in college and simultaneously attending my lectures and making sure my academics do not get affected. The hard work finally paid off when our team was ranked 10th out of 150 colleges. After returning from the event I suffered a bike accident which broke my wrist and put me in the wheelchair for two weeks. I had to recover as soon as possible as our college placements were right around the corner and so were our semesters. I soon joined college after a layoff of one month with a limp on my step and my arm rested on an arm sling pouch. After joining college got reasonably good marks in our semesters and I got job offers from five companies during our campus placements. Another experience in my life that I can never forget is being in the ICU after being diagnosed with dengue fever in the month of October just before my MBA exams. I had been preparing for the whole year in order to crack one of the Tier 1 MBA colleges in India. When I was in the ICU that dream of studying in a Tier 1 college seemed impossible. By the grace of God, I survived and gave my exams and cracked NMAT after being able to score the cut-off that was required in order to be called for interviews. My interview went well and now I am a student of NMIMS Mumbai a premier institute in India. After facing such challenges, I have learned from first-hand experience what does not kill you only makes you stronger. #NMIMSMumbai #ABGLPWooMeSeason2
