Right from my junior college days, I wanted to pursue a post-graduation degree in business and administration. I was really inspired by my uncle who went on to become an entrepreneur by establishing a stable business. I started to prepare for my entrance exams in the 3rd year of my graduation. Everything was going well and I even secured a good percentile which would have ensured my admission into newer IIMs. But the darkest time of my entire life arrived and I lost my father to a major heart attack.
My father was the only bread winner in our family and we experienced severe economic strain. This was the time I had to drop my ambition of going for an MBA. This was a very sad moment in my life as I saw my dream drifting apart. But I thought that if there is any chance by which I can pursue my dream, I will give it my best shot. I took up campus placement from my graduation college. The salary was menial but that was the only way I could start to rebuild my family economically. I worked hard at my job and consistently performed well. My finances were becoming stable by the end of third year at my job and this was the time I thought I could again give a shot at the entrance exams and pursue my MBA dream. So I started preparing for the tests along with my civil site job and I again scored a decent percentile which got me into Sydenham Institute of Management where I am living my long awaited dream!!
