One of the most powerful, most underrated things is how doing a bit of something each day racks up into something enormous. This is my Mantra of my life. However, it was not the same since the beginning. At 26, I am not young enough to be called Reckless, but I am old enough to be called Responsible. My life has been a journey from one R to another, and this is my story, thanks for making time to read about my journey of how I rose to the occasion.
The demise of a parent is one of the most poignant and universal human experiences. But just because the passing of a parent happens to almost everyone doesn’t make it any easier. The death of a parent is not only traumatic; it informs and changes their children biologically and psychologically. At best, an anticipated end is more natural to deal with, as the consequences are known and can be handled with better planning. I was one among the unfortunate ones who had to deal with the sudden death of a parent, my dad, and how it added responsibilities to my shoulders at 16 years old. I started taking care of our Spares and Services business, and it brought up new challenges with it. Combined with the business challenges were my 12th board exams, which needed to be addressed. During these days, I had to attend 6 hours of college and then resume my work at our shop, meeting vendors, directing our workers, and make sure the wheels were moving smoothly. It was also a time where I learned that age is just a number when it comes to taking the right decisions as I worked with my manager to build on what my father had already established which resulted in growth.
The success in business didn't lead to success in Academics, which lead to a not so desirable score in my 12th exams and Engineering entrance exams. This brought a new challenge of moving to a different city to complete my engineering and parallelly work remotely with our manager to take care of business. It was also a time which brought financial struggles, where I made sure the family gets the first bite of the morsel, and then it reaches me. The Academic failure in my past made me strong, and I made it a habit to work every no matter what and make sure my academics do not get affected. Here, I learned the art of multitasking. I was in various positions of responsibilities at my college. Hosting a national level event with a footfall of 3000 was the highlight of my extra curriculum life. I graduated with distinction and eventually honored with Chancellor's Gold medal for outstanding all-around performance over four years and bagged the prestigious TCS Best scholarship given to only 100 students across India.

It has been four years since that feat. Since then, I have worked as an IT Analyst at a major IT firm. During these four years, I have made sure that my family never misses my father. I have provided my family with the best amenities I could. My brother’s graduation last year and his financial independence gave me the freedom to step up and take a leap of faith to go for higher education. After a year of hard work and perseverance, Here, I am, at one of the most coveted Business schools to rise higher.
