Part A

Aditya Birla Group or ABG as it is commonly referred to is a USD 44 billion dollar conglomerate with presence in various sectors and industries with it being highly unlikely that you have not used any of their products or been part of their value chain in one way or another. ABG has always been a big part of my life whether it is buying clothes from Peter England , Allen Solly , Van Heusen or simply shopping at Pantaloons. Another brand which I can relate to is Ultra - Tech cement as being a graduate civil engineer very recently I can value this brand as it has a great impact on everyones life especially with the growing urbanisation and recent real estate growth in India .

Apart from these obvious and consumer facing brands a lot of the business is bigger but less fancier such as Hindalco industries which as leading company of non - ferrous metals especially in aluminium and copper manufacturing and has various applications in todays world as it is used in various parts of larger creations. I think apart from this the biggest impact of ABG on my life is its cellular company Idea which has been my network carrier for the past six years now . Hence this is the impact ABG has on my life.

Part B

Everyone faces challenges in life and peaks and valleys are a part and parcel of life which happens to everyone irrespective of their position , status or nature . In the end it is not the challenge but your attitude during it and how you overcame the challenge which matters . Just like that Ive also had some challenges in my life such as I had gone through a period of being very sick and no doctor could tell what has happened and lead me to be bed-ridden for months and I missed college due to that. Finally I somehow showed up for an exam and wasn't allowed to give it due to low attendance despite my knowledge of my condition.

After many requests I was told that I will be allowed a retest if I maintain full attendance in all the remaining classes and do extra assignments, all this in a condition in which I wasn't even able to walk and was sleeping almost twenty hours a day. Despite this I took this as a challenge and persevered coming with medicines and basically falling asleep as soon as I reached back home but still doing the extra assignment. Finally after over a month of this gruelling conditions I was allowed to give retests . This is how I overcame this challenge by not only saving my semester but even scoring good marks simply due to my desire to overcome a challenge.
