Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM), Bengaluru is all set to host its Annual Management Conclave - ‘Alchemy 2016’ on 25th-26th November. The Management Conclave, organised by Conferences and Events Committee (CEC), provides a quality platform for eminent speakers to share their thoughts and wisdom and industry insights with management students. This year, the Conclave is structured around the theme ‘Quo Vadis, India?’ which means ‘Where are you going, India?’
India is presently the fastest growing economy in the world. But will it be able to sustain its growth? With this uncertainty in our minds, we are making an attempt to question industry experts about their views on the same. Alchemy is structured around three panel discussions on some burning questions surrounding the business world today. Today, there are over 160 start-ups that are worth more than $1 billion. The first panel, ‘Running on Fumes?’, would be posed with questions like whether the valuations of start-ups are over-hyped and is the start-up bubble about to burst?
Globalisation is a step towards progression that involves treading into unchartered territories. The 21st century world has become one global village. ‘Destination: World?' – The second panel, aims to discuss the strategies and challenges faced by companies gearing up to explore the international arena.
Digital disruption isn't about technology; it is about the velocity of change. The third panel discussion, ‘Digital Darwinism’, aims to throw light on how different industries are transforming themselves to make a wider social and economic impact.
