The Interview was conducted on 4th March 2022, morning session. Attending interview online was a new experience, but to add more spice, the conducting body introduced GATHER Platform for the participants.
For the new users of the platform such as myself, it drained out all the anxiety before the interview. The platform provided little virtual avatars for everyone, and we were made to navigate using the avatar through the waiting hall, verification room and finally to the interview room.
Initially we started with the document verification. And the conducting body guided us at every step, so the process went smooth and easy. I was the last person to be interviewed in my slot and interviewers were more energetic.
My panel consisted of three interviewers, all three are SJMSOM Alumni. They kept smiling face and were cool throughout the interview. The interview started with basic questions such as “Tell me about yourself?”, “Why MBA?” and others.
The interview started moving towards my area of interest (About stock market) and that’s where I started feeling warm and good, the conversation was interactive rather one sided. Then we talked about spirituality and how it helped me get through difficult times. I felt adequate about my answers throughout the interview. The interviewers had great deal of interest in whatever I said, which further helped me forget it was an interview and more of an interaction.
The interview then moved towards my work experience in Adani ports. About the Job roles and different opportunities and exposures I have got there. I also explained about the projects I have implemented there.
After the Interview, we were provided with a feedback form.
Throughout the interview I was offered several opportunities to express myself, it was great experience which landed me in SJMSOM, IIT Bombay to pursue my dream course.
