How you overcome challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far?
Ambition is a strong desire to do or achieve something in life. Each individual present in this world always sets an desired target or ambition and they persuade to achieve it. Some work hard until they achieve it while some of them give up half way through due to the difficulties and the challenges they come across, while there are some people who sets an new ambition in life after failing to achieve their previous goals or ambitions.
At a young age i.e. in the young schooling days my ultimate ambition was to achieve become a doctor. Assuming that the youngest son in the family would achieve his ambition of becoming a doctor, my parents had already purchased a premises in the city of Panjim. The ambition to become a doctor failed as I fell short of few marks. Not willing to waste one more year in preparing for medical exam I opted to complete my graduation in mechanical engineering. Eventually as time progressed my new ambition was to start an coaching academy for management exams as I had done reasonably well when I attempted the same during my final year of engineering in the year 2016 . This was something that was not easy to begin with, there were various difficulties that I came across. The first difficulty was to actually start the academy.
The journey to open an coaching academy begun due to a failed relationship and an broken heart. The plan to begin an academy was always there but the first challenge was to over come the personal emotional storm that I was through which actually turned out to be an spark it help me start the academy. To save myself from immersing into the emotional stress I decided to keep myself busy. The premises which my parents had purchased assuming that the son would become a doctor and start a clinic was now converted into a classroom to teach students for PGDM/MBA entrance exams. The first year begun with just and as time progressed the number of students consistently kept increasing. It was not just the number of students increasing but also the number of staff which was increasing. From starting it all by myself to a team of 7 people and then progressing to start 3 centres from just one, this was the journey which was really amazing. But it included a lot of difficulties as well.
The Financial difficulty raised when I decided to start the 2nd centre when the profits were minimal. With minimal profits and lot of analysis done and targeting a pre-defined crowd I took the risk to go further with the plan. This same risk facilitated generation on more revenue which enabled me to start the 3rd centre. Proper analysis and the risk taking ability helped me to generate more profits.
The difficulty currently I’m facing is due to my major chunk of the time allotted towards completion of my pgp in Goa Institute of Management. In a week I tentatively get 3-4 hours a week to contribute towards teaching my students. This challenge is overcome basically because of the amazing team that i have who takes care of most of the activities. At the end of the day we have a conference call for 15-20 minutes discussing the further plan of action and scheduling the activity of the day and the improvements required.
