How Aditya Birla has touched upon my life and impacted greatly?
The story of Aditya Birla brand and its association with me and my family is nothing less than huge and I'm quite sure that it has touched every citizen in India, or whose family stays in India in some way or the other. Their vision and mission are to focus on each business, big or small with the same effort and passion and to deliver the best product and add value to society at large. It has a presence in a wide portfolio of industries starting from Agribusiness, Cement, Chemicals, Finance, Retail, Telecommunications to Textiles and many more. I can only continue writing pages after pages if I start with each and every moment where Aditya Birla has been associated with my life.
To start with, I would like to take on pantaloons. As I was born in a middle-class family, we were used to shopping in local retail markets. It was hectic and tiring to roam around and get eventually get tired and end up choosing a one which was not the one which we liked especially. Then I heard of the pantaloons store opening in our vicinity and heard my friends visiting repeatedly to grab some cool clothes with good discounts. It was then, I decided to take my parents along with. What happened was a shopping spree, and it was not only for us, my mother bought clothes for nearly every member of the family. It was a transition into our buying experience from traditional brick and mortar retail to modern fashion retail store.
Aditya Birla Group has made our life simpler. As management graduates, we should aim to achieve such milestones in our life, just like Aditya Birla Group has paved its way to success.
Paving my way towards my dream

Something similar happened to me when I decided my way into a management program. Before getting straight into my story, let's start from the beginning.
I did my schooling from D.A.V Model School, Durgapur. Then I got selected into a private college, where I did Bachelors in Computer Science Engineering. There along with other 180 fortunate people out of 300, I got selected into the IT major Infosys. I was trained for 3 months, which was divided into two modules (generic and stream) where I was trained on programming fundamentals and Java. Next, I was posted on a production where I was given a project which was based on DBMS, and I had one week of handover to get into production. So I had to go into many pieces of training, to get used to the production environment and understanding the business and flow.
When I joined the company, my life took 180 degrees turn. At Infosys, I had to work 5-6 days a week with no proper timings as I was working for a client based in Europe. I had to work from my designated cubicle with all amenities available. It was not easy for me to think about higher studies and prepare at the same time.
This was very hectic for me and the dream of pursuing an MBA was vanishing. It was during September 18, I was quite determined to go with my plan and make it successful and put down the resignation. All this made me think that whether the decision I made was correct or not. But I never stopped trying and practised thoroughly. Time passed I wrote exams and gave my best. Today I am a part of a reputed institution IMI fulfilling my dream of pursuing an MBA.
Through all these experiences, I learned that life is uncertain but it also gives us bittersweet memories which help us to understand ourselves more and more as we move ahead in life.
