Part A

Aditya Birla Group, the name itself is enough. I come from district of Ratlam. In the near by of the city we have a small town called Nagda. Birla industries have one of their many plants in operation there. The people there seldom call it Nagda, it is identified as Grasim Nagda. That’s the weight and impact of Aditya Birla Group. One of my distant relatives happens to be in the officer grade there, so when I got the chance to visit the colony for the employees there, the vision of the Birla group was quite visible there. The proper developed colonies, the greenery, general stores for people, security, amenities for the people and most important was the aura that is created. When you provide such facilities for people the term loyalty never comes into question. Another major thing that comes into my mind when talking about Birla Group is the State Of Art Birla Mandir they create. I remember when I was small we use to visit the my grandfather’s home in Alibaug, he used to take us to the Birla mandir situated at Alibaug- Roha road, that used to be the best place to visit and we all cousins were always looking forward to go there. Growing big one sentence that was stuck on my tongue during the school times, was “What an Idea Sirjee!!!”, we used to find the opportunities to use this one single line. As an engineering aspirant who didn’t want to join BITS Pilani but only some get admissions there. By the time I joined college, my wardrobe was majorly dominated by apparels of pantaloons and Peter England which still holds the major shareholding in my wardrobe till date. From groceries of More store to Ultratech cement for my room renovation, Aditya Birla Group has been inseparable part of my life.

PART B

From beginning, I was a mediocre at my academics. So in India when you are an average student you brilliantly manage to set the expectations low. But now I can understand that it is not just the academics but many factors that contribute to the overall personality of a child. My real struggle began after I got in my 11th grade. Apart from managing my school academics, I also had to manage my competitive exams preparations. Believe me it is not easy. The school education at that time still believed in the rot method. But competitive exams preparations is all about how finely you can understand the hidden meaning and not only the direct meaning. The multiple interpretations a concept can have. That was a real challenge. It was altogether a new concept for me. It took some time to grasp the new way of learning but gradually I picked my pace and started performing well. So when I got my B.E. admission in Madhya Pradesh’s one of the top most engineering college(SGSITS Indore), people were not able to digest it. I still remember, after the completion of 1st year, one of the person in my father’s social circle came to him and asked how much donation did he pay to get the admission for me. People see the destination but not the journey to reach their. One of my biggest learning in my life has been that, hard work with proper guidance can beat the brain. During my time in college, I discovered myself as a person who can very easily communicate with others. So eventually I managed to do a lot of networking stuff in my college. I managed a second class degree by the time I graduated. When I joined my job through campus, it was not my technical skills that caught attention of my manager but managerial skill of getting the work done caught his attention. He told me that with the combination of interpersonal communication skills and the ability of getting the job done, I can touch great heights.  I believe that challenges are the way to measure to your consistency and persistence in life. I wouldn’t be idealistic and say that one should enjoy the challenges rather I would say the mantra is simple keep doing and keep going.
