Why Aditya Group is big in your life?
Aditya Birla Group, as a conglomerate is so diversified that it continues to make an impact on crucial phases of one’s life in one or the other way. I have come across ABG and its brands at many points in my life because they are a significant market player in all the sectors they enter. My personal experiences with the brand are in the following sectors: Telecom, Fashion Retail, Education, Social Service, Construction etc.
Undoubtedly, ABG brands are the market leaders when it comes to Fashion Retail. They have something to offer to every type of consumer. I was always fascinated by these brands and I still am. People is a one stop solution for me when it comes to buying trendy clothes at the best prices. My favorite t-shirt was bought in People. I have a girlfriend and she is fond of shopping. Guess where I take her shopping. None other than Pantaloons. It is one of the stores where we can both walk out of the store satisfied and happy, of course for different reasons. Pantaloons provides us with not only the best designs but also the best prices. I have an interview scheduled in the next week and I need to look my best. Where will I go. Well, I have many options to choose from. Peter England, known for its wide range of affordable formal clothing. Van Heusen, Louis Philippe and Allen Solly for their premium range of formal and casual clothing. These are some of the best brands in India. Also, as an ex-employee of Hyderabad Metro Rail, I am aware about the fact that Hyderabad Metro structures are so robust, thanks to Ultratech cement.
BITS Pilani, its magic. It sure is. I had the best 4 years of my life here. My alma mater taught me how to have fun and be responsible at the same time. BITS Pilani, played a crucial role in my all-round development as an individual. It gave me immense chance to grow, develop and nurture my skills. I am a Bitsian for life. ABG always believed in giving back to the society and so they started Aditya Birla Group Scholarships to invest in the future leaders in the hope for a better community. Hundreds of deserving but poor students get benefited by the scholarships. By this way, ABG is creating an impact for life on an individual. My first sim card was Idea. With Idea, we have walked and talked making hundreds of friends and thousands of sweet memories and numerous moments to cherish.
How have you made an Impact?
Did you ever feel sad that you wanted to walk up to someone and start a conversation but couldn’t because your communication skills are pathetic? I did. Let me take this opportunity and put forward, how I came out of this.
During the first days of my college, I used to feel inferior because I couldn't speak English like the other students. The fact that I come from a small town and middle-class family made me feel even more insecure and inferior. I wanted to learn English very badly, so I started talking to my close friends in English. I used to read articles and learn every unknown word I came across. In a few months, I got better and started hosting a few small cultural events to practice. I always knew what to speak in a situation and language was the major barrier. It took me only a few months to cross the barrier and be a good speaker, which I always wanted to be. Again, this was possible because of BITS Pilani, the kind of diversity it entails and the opportunities it creates for someone to develop as an individual.
