A US $44.3 billion corporation, spread across 14 industry sectors and having being achieved global and national leadership in several businesses, the Aditya Birla Group is one such conglomerate whose presence is hard to miss in our everyday lives.

From the clothes we wear, to the mobile network we use, to the cement used to build our houses Aditya Birla Group has made their mark in all the possible sectors.

ABG has a huge contribution to the fashion sector of our country. From high end brands like Van Heusen, Allen Solly and Louis Philippe to more affordable brands like Pantaloons, Forever 21 ABG offers something to cater to every section of society. Just like ABG has grown to become a mass leader I too have grown up from wearing clothes from Pantaloons, Forever 21 in my everyday life to the more formal wear from Van Heusen, Allen Solly etc required in a B-school.

Another great contribution by ABG which has helped millions of people to stay connected with their families is the Vodafone Idea Limited Network. It’s one of the most popular mobile network and is used by a huge chunk of population. Personally for me, Vodafone has always been that connecting bridge between me and my family when I was staying in a hostel away from them.

Now how can we forget the UltraTech cement! All of us have grown up seeing advertisements telling us that UltraTech cement is truly "The Engineers Choice". ABG has ensured proper quality benchmarking such that UltraTech cement is now a household name.

The presence of The Aditya Birla Group is not just limited to these sectors and all this clearly shows the big part ABG plays in our day to day life

Acing the challenges in my life

No matter how blessed you are in life, there would always be some internal or external challenges you would have to face in the course of life but all these challenges shape and polish us for our future.

Just like everyone else I too have gone through my due part of challenges. One of the major challenges I faced was during my JEE MAINS entrance exam. I have always been academically strong throughout my school life so naturally my family and I myself had great expectations from me. However due to some family and health issues I wasn't able to perform well in my JEE exam. This led me to a mediocre college which left me depressed. But as it is said, Time heals everything, so I too soon accepted this as a part of my destiny and decided to make the best out of it.

I actively took part in extracurricular activities, organised events and focused on my academics. As a result I even came first in my college. At the end I bagged a fairly good placement.

Another challenge came when I had to decide between going for a job or going for MBA. One offered a more secure future while the other had an unclear path. But I decided to follow the mantra that people who take risks, succeed in life.

So far my MBA journey is going great. I am encountering experiences, teaching paradigms ,live projects etc. which I have never came across before.

All I have learnt from the difficult times in my life is to keep a positive outlook and the notion that whatever happens, happens for good and this learning would surely help me in my future endeavors too!
