WHY ADITYA BIRLA GROUP IS BIG IN YOUR LIFE?
Aptly said by the Aditya Birla Group, “Big in your life”. ABG is big and impactful not only in my life but in every individual’s life. From catering to fashion and networking, it also caters to copper, aluminium, cement, tyres and insulators. How can I forget the CSR activities it performs alongside its daily operations? The 45000 women empowerment centres that it has set up, for sure plays an important role in every woman’s life. ABG caters to each and every walk of life from its vast landscape of products thus creating and maintaining its place not only in our daily lives but also in our heart and mind.
The daily requirements of a person cannot be complete without ABG. Starting from the basic food, cloth and housing needs well depicted by the quote “Roti, kapda, makaan”. It provides FRESHWRAPP that my mother used daily while packing my lunch box be it to school or college. No one can miss out on the various clothing and accessory brands it provides us with, be it casuals, party wear, nightwear, formals, jewellery, footwear or bags. Pantaloons is the one stop shop destination for me that fulfills all my needs and requirements. It is ingrained in my life catering to my daily needs from the point of waking up in the morning to the time I go to bed. Van Heusen provides a vast collection of formal wear. I personally am a great fan of this brand and purchase all my formal suits, shirts, footwear and bags from Van Heusen. ABG is the lifeline of millions thus providing us with UltraTech Cement forming a strong foundation of a happy life.
The smartphone that I use is also a part of ABG in some form. As the aluminium cover glass is made by Hindalco thus I cannot even survive a second without ABG. It is a lifeline to me. Also it helps me network with family and friends living far away through its telecom network Idea. Since the Vodafone-Idea merger, it is serving a lot more customers as it used to. It has helped reduce barriers and made me feel close to my family inspite of the fact that I am thousands of miles away from them. In times of pain or happiness, it is ABG that connects me to people.
Thus ABG holds a strong position in my heart. Wherever I look or go or think of, ABG necessarily has to be a part of it. The milieu is incomplete without it as is my life.
HOW HAVE YOU MADE AN IMPACT?
Inspired by ABG to not give up and continue to grow as it has done since past 162 years, this story relates to my school days. I was involved in creativity since my childhood. One day it happened that I accompanied my friend to the dentist. There was a lady sitting beside us talking to a friend about her first anniversary and how desperately she wanted to give a handmade card to her husband but could not do so because of her busy schedule. Suddenly an idea struck me as to why not start a small venture of supplying handmade cards, gifts, envelopes and boxes. By this I could deploy my creativity and paper quilling skills. I discussed this idea with the same friend whom I had accompanied. Even she thought it was a brilliant idea. I was not involved in any other extra-curricular activity at that point of time and was completely free. I approached my parents with the idea with a hope of approval, but unfortunately it was an outright reject. I anyway lacked self-confidence. This demotivated me further but I was not to give up so easily. This was an idea that struck me hard. The reasoning my parents gave was valid from their point of view. They were of the thought that this would come at a cost of my studies plus I had my 12th board examinations coming up. I promised and convinced them somehow that I would not let this come in the way of my studies. After much discussion, they finally agreed. I not only scored good marks in my boards but also performed efficiently in the venture. This not only boosted my confidence but also gave me the power to take my own decisions. I was also convinced that nothing is impossible and that anything can be achieved if worked upon. This was a turning point in my life.
