Why Aditya Birla Group is big in my life.

I remember I was in class 8. We were on a family trip to Hyderabad; my father took us to the Birla temple, Hyderabad, and like every other kid I wasn’t so excited about that. So, to cheer me up he told me the story of Mr Ghanshyam Das Birla.

He trusted in himself and that gave him success in life. In the early days of his life, he used to stay in the only room with his brother. He was able to read until the fifth grade.

He used to say, “Look at your hands carefully. There is no other strength in this world. Just look at them and express your desire to them. I do not ask anything from God. Whatever I want, I ask only to these two hands.”

That day it made a huge impact on my life. Even now whenever I am helpless, I look at my hands & I believe that I can achieve anything.

Aditya Birla Group is a multinational conglomerate, connected to my life, and has been affecting it in many ways small or big. Be it the home I live in, be it the clothes I wear, the food I eat, it is connected to Aditya Birla Group.

How I overcame challenges to achieve my ambitions in life so far

My passion for riding runs deep! When I was a kid, my dad would take me on road trips on his bike and I would love sitting in front. I always dreamt of going on road trips. When I came of age, my dad would sit behind me and ask me to drive. He always yelled at me for every little mistake I made. It was torture and with him around, I got nervous while driving because I didn't know when he would shout. It was like taking a driving test over and over again.

Then came the D-day as my cousin asked me to drive at outskirts of the town. It was dark and once the ignition was off, you couldn't see anything. It was stressful, and I never got past clutch control. Only after failing a couple of times, I could drive steadily. Since then, I never had any problem with driving.
That day I learnt that adversity can break you or make you only if you let it. Every single transformative event in our lives has been preceded by fear of taking the plunge. We have allowed fear to silence the truth of who we are and replace it with a lie. But sometimes the scariest and the worst things in our lives can end up creating the best memories. Sometimes we try doing things that excite us and fail miserably. But with every subsequent failure our chances of success increase. The day we stop failing, we stop learning and growing. Failure makes us think differently, it's the fear which keeps us from realizing our passions and finding our true potential.
Stop being a spectator of your life, and start pursuing things whose thought of failure sends a cold shiver down your spine. Be brave, have courage, and experience the freedom of failing, the freedom of pursuing your fears. "The greatest successes come with the freedom to fail; Ideas don't come out fully formed, they only become clearer as you work on them. You just have to get started."
