The Aditya Birla Group is a multinational conglomerate which has its headquarters at Mumbai, India. The vast range of brands under this name, is something one cannot even imagine to think of. The most surprising part of the story is the fact that a common man won’t even realize how big a difference this brand is making to his daily life, until and unless he categorically sits down to analyze the same. And, that’s what I am trying to do today.
On a personal note, I never realized the fact that Aditya Birla, as a brand has affected my life in so many different situations. In my experience, the prime area where I have knowingly or unknowingly invested so much in Aditya Birla is the apparel sector. I was amazed to know that Aditya Birla has a wide spread of clothing options which provides extremely premium options like Louis Philippe, Allen Solly, Van Heusen and Peter England. Being a person who thoroughly enjoys formal attires, these brands have always managed to top my list. I was also pleasantly surprised to know that Pantaloons is also a brand under the umbrella of Aditya Birla, because the wide range of options available in these outlets have always managed to capture my attention. And, I still distinctly remember that coming from a Tier-2 city, Jamnagar, it was a HUGE deal when Pantaloons decided to open an outlet here. The opening day saw humongous number of footfalls in the store! While I have been traveling to different cities throughout my life, hence Pantaloons was a known brand to me. But for people, who were not aware of it, they were astonished to see all major and big brands under the same roof, and at such affordable prices. And, it’s never just the array of products but also the entire experience of entering in such a beautifully established and designed facility where customer experience is given prime importance.
In my short journey of life, one skill which I have gradually improved upon in my high school days is public speaking. In my early days, I still remember that I used to fumble a lot and get really less marks in certain subjects where you also had to speak about it in the class (for example a poem recitation). So, I was never good at it. When I moved to a new school, with a lot of hesitation, I went forward myself to tell my Class Teacher that this is something I am bad at and it would be extremely helpful if I can get some guidance regarding the same. So, she took it upon herself to make sure that I started making small announcements in the assembly first, and then maybe the news headlines of the day and so on. Eventually, I got a lot better at his and ended up being the Compere of the Annual Day event. No, I am no Jim Carrey today who can amaze the audience with a captivating speech but I am someone who can at least stand in front of a crowd and try his best to make a small reasonable impact on the listeners.
