The journey to success

In the words of Kumar Mangalam Birla, “Failure is not fatal, it is inevitable; the key is to not be oblivious to the mistake.”

We have heard several inspiring stories of successful entrepreneurs around the world, and the one common thread that I found across all these success stories, was their resilience. Success does not come on a silver platter, it is the result of the tremendous effort one puts in, in order to make his dream a reality. More importantly, it is the persistence one displays in the event of failure. The only way we learn, is by failing, that shows that we have tried in the least.

My story is not one that is very inspiring, but in the face of whatever difficulties I have faced, I have tried to react according to the mantra that keep moving forward and do not repeat the same mistakes again. Being an Indian student in today’s time is not an easy venture; the competition is tremendous, be it whatever field one aims to pursue. Choosing Computer Engineering, I had to ensure I score satisfactorily in order to get admitted into one of the top colleges in Mumbai. This involved many sacrifices on a personal level in order to achieve my goal. Choosing to pursue MBA after my graduation also proved to be a tremendous task as that required me to give my final exams as well as MBA entrance exams during the same year. Throughout my journey I have tried to ensure that I have the mental strength to persist in order to achieve my endeavours.

“If you don’t fail, it perhaps means you aren’t taking enough risks” – Kumar Mangalam Birla
