I have grown up listening to my father’s advice of not giving up when the odds are against me. All the inspiring words that I have been exposed to, play in the back of my mind, in the form of auto-suggestions whenever I am confronted by difficult situations. Thus, I have developed a habit of always rising up to challenges, unafraid of the outcome.

One such challenge in my life was when I was deemed under-qualified for campus placements during my graduation phase on account of backpapers that I had. This meant that I missed opportunities to appear for all my dream companies when they visited the campus. My hopes of a job straight after graduation were dashed. But I did not let my confidence fall. I applied my mind to my studies and cleared the exams before graduating. I then went job-hunting off-campus and secured myself two golden offers within a span of 3 months. This was a reiteration of my belief that I had the abilities to overcome tough situations.

Later on in my personal life, I was faced with another challenge. I had a serious knee injury which posed question marks on my future as a professional footballer. I had to undergo a surgery and was bedridden for two months. The injury took its toll on me both physically and psychologically. But my resistance to succumb to the situation helped me get through the rough patch. I went through a rigorous rehabilitation program and have relaunched my career in full flow. I am confident that I have the determination needed to ride all challenges that life throws at me and succeed.
