Part A

Gifts are special. It becomes memorable when the person giving us the gift has a big place in our heart. One such person in my life is my boss, who is also my mentor.

This instance happened when my CAT results had come and I had started preparing for my interviews. One day he phoned and told me to come to a nearby mall urgently. On the way to the mall, there were umpteen number of reasons going over my head for which I would have been called for. He was waiting in the entrance of the mall and greeted me when he saw. Without answering my queries regarding where we are going, he told me to just follow him. It was just a matter of time when I realised that he is taking me to a Peter England store. I was quite surprised and thought he would have come there for buying some clothes for himself and just wanted me to accompany him.

Then came the moment which I cannot forget in my life. He handed over me a nice new suit and told me ‘This is my small gift for what you have achieved till now, its time for you to shine in the interviews and make everyone proud’. That was a moment when expressions spoke everything without even uttering a single word. I had no words to tell but tears in my eye, and a tight hug summed up it all.

I’m grateful to ABG for touching my life and making moments like these very special.

Part B

Life is not easy. It throws at you things at a time when you least expect to happen so. Everyone has their own share of good and bad days, so do I. There were lot of ups and downs in my life, and I have overcome all the challenges with more conviction everytime.

There are lot of motivation factors which keeps me going during hardships. I’m a person who comes from a very humble background. The unwavering determination and hardwork put out by my parents were my motivation during my schooling. They have encouraged me to push beyond my limits and aim for the zenith. That is exactly what I have been doing my whole life. I have been trying out new things which I had developed interest and have stopped doing things which I’m no longer interested in.

Everytime a challenge is thrown at me, the factor that helps me tackle that issue is by looking inwards and concrete the purpose of my life. I’m a person who believes helping out each other is the cornerstone of life. And I belong to that set of people who love helping others and finding joy and satisfaction in doing so. When we have a higher cause for life, little things which come as obstacles won’t be a challenge at all. Infact I’m prepared to face any challenges that comes in my way and tackle it in ways that I know of. In the end, we all have just one life and the choice is ours whether to see positivity in times of adversity and thrive or attract negativity and doom.
