A journey of 162 years and the Aditya Birla Group stands tall today as a market leader. It’s needless to say how the Aditya Birla Group has carved a niche for itself and is present across 14 different industry sectors. This makes it inevitable for any person to have not come across and experienced a product belonging to the firm. Starting from eminent clothing brands, to lesser famous non- ferrous metal industry, cement, BPO, telecom and more, their presence is seen across all.

The Aditya Birla Group is big for me because of the day to day presence it keeps in my life. Wearing the refined clothes from brands like Forever 21, Pantaloons, Van Heusen and more reminds me of the quality focus and customer eccentricity the firm believes in. Talking of examples where the group has played a significant role for me was when the first brand that crossed my mind to get a suit for myself to appear in the MBA entrance interviews was Van Heusen which belongs to ABG. Every morning when in million households lunch gets packed in the Freshwrap Aluminium Foil along with mine as well, it reminds me of the molecular presence of ABG. But what goes beyond their products and leaves an imprint on me are the values they possess. Believing in a workplace of diversity and inclusion where equal opportunities have been made accessible to all, the group has also gone ahead to contributing immensely towards the society with numerous CSR activities.

The chairperson said - “Our mission has always been to be the leaders in each of our businesses, which is one, two or three” and this I believe speaks for the success of the organization and thought for us to keep striving to be the best.

This thought takes me ahead to the thought of the challenges I faced in my life and how I overcame them.

Life, as they say, is a roller coaster ride, unexpected and thrilling in its own capacity. Coming from a small town of Bihar, mingling and becoming a part of the wider world around me as I moved away from my home for higher education was a challenge for me. I was always introverted which made the situation slightly difficult for me but the desire to make the most of the opportunities that kept coming always had me on my toes, helping me become a better version of me every day. Nonetheless, in my days ahead, failures and learnings have been constants through the journey of formulating and executing my dream to be a worthy MBA graduate.

All through my life, the one thing that keeps me going against all odds is my undying spirit of achieving my dreams and being the best.
