“First impression is the last impression”

It is the first thing that comes to my mind whenever I come across Aditya Birla Group. The relation with

the group started while I was a child, when I was sitting on top of my father’s shoulders to see the

granite idol of Lord Venkateshwara in Birla Mandir. The temple which was constructed of 2000 tons of

pure white marble by the Birla Foundation, is a scenic beauty at the center of Hyderabad which offers

peace to mind in the midst of daily routine. It is one of the most exciting places to visit as a child and it

is no different now. The name Birla got registered while I was a child but I haven’t realized then, that

Aditya Birla Group is one of the premier business conglomerate of India.

The second time I came to know about Aditya Birla group was when I had to make a choice of mobile

network. “Walk when you talk” was one the famous advertisements going on at that time which created

a belief in the brand for its strategy of conveying the social message of walking to stay fit. And the belief

has been consistent throughout the years due to their uninterrupted network and service even at the

remote areas of the country I traveled to.

And the part of Aditya Birla Group kept on growing in my life with best offerings in Fashion in the form

of brands such as Allen Solly , VanHeusen, Peter England which has been fascinating to wear in any

occasions. I could think of no other brand in my life which has given me so many memories to cherish

right from childhood and I hope to be a part of Aditya Birla Group in my future endeavors too.

“Challenges faced in my journey to Double-MBA(Path less traveled)”

I never thought of doing MBA in my life while I was doing graduation but as Steve Jobs said “ You can't

connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. ”

All I wanted to do was engineering as my father was an engineer. I don’t know how it started but I

wanted to become a cricketer when I was in my second year of engineering. I thought I was born with

talent but it didn’t take much time to get struck by reality. Starting at a much older age than fellow

cricketers, the competition was tough. The only thing in my mind was to work harder. I had to go

through rigorous training sessions and after 12 months of patience and hard work, I could get a chance

to play league cricket which I thought would transform into a bigger one but injuries struck me at regular

intervals.

After completion of graduation, I had two choices in my hand, good placement offer or playing cricket.

My passion made me choose cricket and I started doing MBA while playing cricket which I had never

thought of. After completion of MBA and 2 years of dismal performance, I landed up as sales executive

in a company. That’s where I got to know the real challenges in the market starting at a lower

management level but handled well as per my boundaries. That was the time I decided to do an MBA in

premier institutions which started as a fascination to me to learn but failed in the first two attempts. My

confidence was low but I didn’t quit this time.

I succeeded in the third attempt with a good percentile in CAT-2018 and started my journey in IIM

Raipur for second MBA(Path less traveled).
