It is not a small accomplishment to reach the level where ABGL is at. They are a 162-year-old company, headquartered in Worli, Mumbai, India. It operates in 35 countries with more than 120,000 employees worldwide the group was founded by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in 1857. The group has interests in viscose staple fiber, metals, cement (largest in India), viscose filament yarn, branded apparel, carbon black, chemicals, fertilizers, insulators, financial services, telecom, BPO and IT services. They are in every business from clothing to carbon to cement to financial services. ABGL has touched the lives of each and every one of us in some way or the other, big or small.
The company has struggled in this journey to excellence and has overcome all of them because the people at the center of ABGL. Just like that I also faced an overwhelming challenge at my work where I was thrown into unknown domain with client and had no knowledge about how to take charge and complete my task. But I talked to my client, teammates and other people, learned the know how slowly and steadily. Struggled at first, made mistakes but never gave up knowing that its only rough waters now and after this there is only better greens. Hence, I didn’t let go of motivation, kept the spirits up and kept striding towards my goal but what is most important is that you cannot do it alone as you always need your team and others to help you guide through these challenges.
