The Aditya Birla Group is a 162-year old business conglomerate. It was the visionary of Seth Shiv Narayan Birla. It is difficult to justify the role of Aditya Birla Group in a few words given the fact that the business empire has spread its roots across the world ranging from agri-business, carbon black, cement and chemicals, retail and finance, mining, telecommunication to textiles. I’d like to summarize in a few words how the Aditya Birla Group has impacted my life.
Its non-ferrous metal business is well known to me since while building our house, we mostly bought rods and alumina chemicals from Hindalco. I’m also familiar with the Ultratech cement since we used it while building our home. It’s by far India’s largest cement company with customer satisfactory products. I’ve also seen Ultratech cement being widely used to build boundaries alongside roads in hilly terrains. Now coming to one of my favorite acquaintance with the Aditya Birla Group's fashion and retail in-house brands such as Allen Solly, Van Heusen, Peter England, and Louis Philippe. I am a regular with Allen Solly ranging from its apparels to its moccasins. Pantaloons and Forever 21 is also popular in my household since their materials are enduring. Now coming to the telecom services of the Aditya Birla Group, Idea and Vodafone were really popular and I myself was a customer since 2014. The best part is that it provides cell tower in even remote areas.

My dad got transferred to Kolkata in the year 2000, and in the same year, my mother started teaching in a school. I was in class lower kindergarten then. Initially, an aunty used to open the door of my house for me, helped me freshen up and take my lunch and then she put me to bed. As the years progressed, I myself started taking the keys of the house with me. I would come back from school, serve my own lunch and have it. This hurdle made me way more responsible and self-sufficient. I became self-dependent and this in my later life helped me immensely when I moved to hostel for my higher studies.
During my teenage years, I was quite a steady guy. It will be better to say that I was more on the healthier side and hence an object of fun for my friends. Since I was fat, my friends continuously made jokes out of my weight and appearance. They did not want to include me in any sports that they played and they always belittled me in front of everyone. However, I did not bow down to peer pressure. Their taunts initially bothered me a lot, but with time I learnt to cope with this hurdle too. I also became mentally strong enough to block my mind from their jokes and rather use them as a motivation. To achieve one’s ambition, it's really vital to learn to avoid pessimism in life.
