It was founded by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in 1857 and throughout its journey, it has expanded into many fields like viscose staple fibre, metals, cement, viscose filament yarn, branded apparel, carbon black, chemicals, fertilisers, insulators, financial services, telecom, BPO and IT services. With constant innovation and new forays, the group has managed to become the third largest Indian private sector conglomerate with a revenue of US $44.3 billion.

The Aditya Birla Group has been playing an important part in every consumer's life since it constantly innovates its products to satisfy market demand. For instance, Birla Cellulose' Liva is a new age fabric made from natural fibres produced from wood pulp, a natural renewable resource. The company also launched the Liva Accredited Partner Forum to rope in India’s leading designers and fashion Institutes.

It has impacted lives in such a way that I have come across many products and areas where ABG has a significant role. For me it has been the pantaloons as I am attracted to as it holds so many brands that I am actually addicted to.

Part B

Challenges are a crucial part of everyone's life that teach us some life lasting lessons. They test our resilience towards difficult situations. Four years ago, I was a very short-tempered person and didn't like to interact much with people. Due to some situations I faced in my school and college days, I used to be very frustrated. Even I wanted to keep my behavior normal but I could not help myself and my anger. I used to get into fights frequently and had no friends.

But gradually I realized that losing my temper frequently is not good for me. Therefore, I started managing my anger and controlling it. It was not at all easy for me to turn into a patient person with cool temper. It took me almost four years to transform myself and now I can see a drastic change in me. I am now an extrovert person and like talking to strangers and making new friends. I am proud that I was persistent in my efforts and finally managed to change myself for the greater good of people around me.
