Part A-

My first interaction with ABG occurred when I was in my graduation doing some shopping at a mall. One of my friends told me that Peter England is not English, but an Indian brand. I was surprised by this fact and immediately looked about it online to see that  I am not getting pranked. That's when I found that Peter England belong to the ABG group, and in fact, other popular apparel brands like Allen Solly, VanHusen, pantaloons too were ABG owned. On further going through ABG brands I realized that it is not the first time I am using an ABG product. I have been using superwrap for keeping food fresh for a long time. My family has been using idea network right from my childhood and everyone must have used the Ultra Tech cement now and then. As if this surprising revelation of my connection with ABG was not enough, I later got to work with the ABG group after my graduation for a brief period. I worked with a consultancy to provide solutions to Utkal Alumina industries limited. This is just the story of how ABG has been part of me till now, its influence in the life of an everyday person of India and also around the world can only be imagined. From producing fertilizers for farmers to providing financial services platform to masses, ABG as a group has touched every walk of people's life. Hindalco Everlast, the world’s largest metal rolling company has been providing aluminum roofing solutions to industries and residential.  One can only imagine how many homes and Infrastructure projects Ultra Tech cement built has built. The contribution of the ABG group in moving India ahead is immense and I am confident that they as a group will only get larger and better in the future.

Part B-

“I never thought of myself as unlucky. When you aim high, it's tough to get there unless something really fortunate happens.”-Henry Cavil. When I was in school, I was good at math and science. So when I topped my school in standard X boards, naturally,  like most other Indian families, my parents would want me to do engineering, but that wasn’t the case. My father asked me to opt for commerce field. My interests were more inclined towards science at that point and had no particular interest in pursuing commerce. I had to convince my father for one straight week that how I would do better in the field of science. I had to take help from my mother and a few of my relatives to build pressure on my father. Eventually, he agreed and I pursued my education in the field of science. This was a small yet important step in my life towards achieving my future endeavors. One another challenging task that I faced was the completion of my final year project during my engineering.  The aim of our project team was to analyze the two-phase flow system. It was a research-oriented project and even after working on it for one full semester we were not sure that we would be able to meet the objectives of the project.  Later we had to involve the mathematics and computer Engineering division along with the Mechanical Engineering division to complete our project. It was one of the most challenging tasks that I had done until that point and we were aptly guided by NPCIL, Mumbai for our project. The project has been one of the most important learning experiences of my life.
