I want to start from the beginning of the day when I went for my interview at Bajaj Capital Limited.

Like any normal person, I also went with a free mind, not taking too much stress and maintaining my composure for the interview. Now, when I entered the interview room, I started to quiver because of low confidence. I've always felt that I am not as good as others. That particular fear hit me at that moment and my body started shaking.

One thing I must mention is that interviewers are very smart; they observe your body language, which reflects the level of nervousness and confidence. So they get to know that I was very nervous at that time, and they started with one of our favourite questions, that is, "Tell me something about yourself". I expected this question.

Then, they started asking technical questions. I was lucky because I had prepared well for the interview and for the questions which were asked by them. When I answered questions correctly, somehow, that started boosting my confidence and I thought to myself, "Ok. So I do know the answers to the questions, so I am not as bad at this as I thought."

So the results were announced for the selection of interview and I was selected! I was quite happy for myself. I got the acceptance letter which contained the entire information regarding the joining date, time period and the work profile.

So, I started my summer internship and everything was going great but, as I said, everything could not have been going great in my life.

A problem began when it came to the practical work and learning - I was supposed to sell Mutual Funds, which was not told to me by the interviewer. I had even requested the interviewers during my interview to not be put into sales. However, destiny had something else in store for me, and I was put in a Sales role where I had to target at least 20 clients with 24k Systematic Investment Planning.

Somehow, I achieved my target with the help of my dear and near ones because they are ones who not interested in investment through Mutual Funds but are interested in helping me. So, a big thanks to my near and dear ones. It is because of them that I achieved my target and received a Letter of Appreciation from the company.

One thing which I learnt during my internship is this - Always trust yourself; nothing is impossible. We think that everyone cannot do Sales but trust me, it's a myth. All you need is the correct pitch, which is key to getting into the minds of clients.
