To every Indian, Aditya Birla Group has been serving for a long time and also to citizens of other nationalities and so naturally it has a direct-indirect impact on all of these lives. However, to me, this group has helped me and my family in real time of need. It was not long ago in 2009, when the Bharuch Plant (Textile Plant) had been set up by late BK Birla, and not so long ago in 2013 when the employees of this plant helped my family in a time of need.
In 2013 monsoon Bharuch experienced massive damage due to floods. And Bharuch is one of the prominent places from our religious beliefs. I am a Sikh and one of our very important places of worship is in Bharuch, Gurudhwara Chadar Sahib. It was during this time when I and my family visited the Gurudwara from our hometown Vadodara (nearby district). It was an easy Car ride into Bharuch but as the day passed and we decided to go back to Vadodara in the late afternoon, it was pouring very heavily. We hadn’t been very acquainted with the roads in Bharuch as we rarely visited the Gurudwara. It was a time when google maps were not that prevalent and so we used locals for navigation but due to heavy rains, very few people were available to help us with the navigation. We started on our own and dodged through streets that were heavily flooded as we did not want to get stuck with the car in such places.
It was later in the evening when we came to know that we had taken a wrong route and that brought to the area where industries were situated in Bharuch. We had absolutely nobody at that place to guide us or help us with food and water, which we had been searching for long with one of the passengers being my Mother’s niece ( 10 months old at that time).
While my entire family was helpless at that time. In heavy rain and thundering, we spotted a man who helped us in this time of need. We accidentally came near the Bharuch textile plant set up by late BK Birla. The staff ( Security staff) helped us with drinking water and some biscuits they had and guided us the way out.
Hadn’t it for the Birla Group staff we would not have been able to make out of Bharuch at least that night.
And I am quite sure of this, that, all the ventures by the Aditya Birla Group has their offices, plants, and industry near us and they have been silently helping Indians in the moment of personal need of products and services and also in situations like this.
ABG has played an important role in many lives with their products like cement, fashion products, daily need products but for me over these products, the employee values have impacted and helped me.
