There is a famous proverb – “where there is a will, there is a way” which applies to almost everything in life. Obstacles and challenges are part and parcel of our lives. Each one of us have to go through the ups & downs and the highs & lows. What matters in such situations is how one deals with these challenges with a calm and composed mind.
I remember one of the challenge I faced till now which taught me many things was during my work experience. I was on a customer site carrying out the implementation of our process control software along with my manager. It was just a year into my stint at the company and I was just starting to know about the technicalities of the job. This implementation phase was the most important phase of the entire project. The challenge that came in front of me was to handle the entire commissioning single-handedly because my manager had to leave home due to some unavoidable circumstances. My company and specifically my team could not send any other colleague to the site as all the team leads were busy with other projects. The challenge here was not only to complete the commissioning on time but also to do it perfectly. Whatever I had experienced in the first year, I had to apply that to complete the project. Another challenge, at the same time, was to handle the client. But, I had that confidence, will power and technical know-how that allowed me to handle the phase in a calm and composed manner and overcome the challenge.
