The founder of the Aditya Birla Group, Seth Shiv Narayan Birla and I share the same place of origin that is Pilani, Rajasthan. I began studying in a school that is managed and maintained by his family and have studied there for ten years and thus I owe my knowledge and understanding of the world to his family’s philanthropic activities, even my father is an alumnus of the same school and had studied there for twelve years. My next association was when I got my first mobile phone, I had subscribed to Idea Cellular Network, the network and customer service experience was beyond satisfactory. I stayed a loyal customer for over three years until I had to move to a different city and had to switch to a different network due to some reasons. However, my association with Aditya Birla Group didn’t end there, after my graduation and before joining my first job I went shopping for formal wear and I happen to try Louis Philippe, which I wasn’t aware at that time was an Aditya Birla Group brand, it was the best brand I had tried for formals and later when I realized that it’s an Indian brand I was shocked, but it felt good at the same time as I was of the opinion that international brands are superior to the Indian brands and after knowing Allen Solly, Van Heusen and Peter England are all Aditya Birla Group’s brands my perception changed. I’m sure this group will keep on making my life better and changing my perception in the future.

Yesterday and Today

Almost every student has faced procrastination in some point of their life, and it’s horrible on grades, health, and concentration. I used to procrastinate on my homework, and other such tasks and used to do those at the last minute like studying on the last day for an exam and instead choosing to do other stuff for fun. This habit stayed with me until it started affecting my grades and my life in particular. I would go to a gym for a few days and stop going there indefinitely, procrastination led to impatience and I wanted instant results. I would read a book but never finishes it, this habit inculcated attention deficiency in me and thus I would start many things and never finish any of them. Sooner or later I realized what I was doing and I needed to turn my life upside down, so I started focusing on what is important and what is not important. I created a detailed plan, on what needs to be done, break them down to short-term and long-term goals and how I am going to achieve them. I would take regular breaks and would reward myself after achieving those short-term plans and would go on a trip after achieving the long-term goals. I am a different individual now compared to what I was two or three years back, this is a process and I am still following it and I will keep on doing it to stay on track with my life.
