How you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far?
Just like pressure creates diamond and fire refines gold, challenges helps us become a better version of ourselves. To become the person I am today I overcame a lot of challenges, the most recent of which happened about an year ago.
All through my life I’ve been a shy person and so interacting with people was not my cup of tea. However this never bothered me during my school and most part of the college. I realized that this was rather a weakness during the interviews of B schools wherein just the thought of participating in group discussions and interacting with panelists during interviews gave me nightmares. As expected I was not able to convert the B school I was aiming for. But I didn’t let this rejection demotivate me, one of my key strengths is that I always try to improve myself and so I decided to overcome this weakness by facing it.
I started working as an Assistant manager in the sales and marketing department of Career launcher, Dehradun where my main responsibility was to interact with people. The first month was very difficult for me, I was doing a job that I was not good at, I had avoided interacting with people all my life and there I was doing the exact opposite thing. It was my determination and will to improve myself that kept me going.
Was I successful in overcoming this challenge? I’d say “YES”. I converted the B - school which had group discussion as a part of its selection process. An year’s worth of effort helped me in becoming a part of MDI family.

For me confidence is all about being able to present oneself and communicate effectively and that is where ABG has played an important role in my life.
I started my graduation dressed in a forever 21 for my freshers and bid farewell to the college dressed in liva, and on both the occasions I was awarded Miss freshers and Miss Ramjas respectively. I was part of my college fashion society and with a wide range of clothing options available at both online and offline stores of ABG, making a mark in competitions organized by fashion societies of different colleges during fest season became easier. ABOF truly made my fashion ride a gorgeous one. Now having embarked on my journey to pursue masters in business administration in one of the most prestigious B - school in India, ABFRL is providing tremendous amount of help through their fine formal apparels.
My journey to my dream B - school was also made easier by the services provided by Vodafone idea limited. Given the fact that I was working, preparing for CAT and interview round thereafter became difficult. However with the quality network services provided by Vodafone Idea limited I was able to take online classes and skype my mentors for mock group discussion preparation without any connectivity issue.
