What is Sectional Cut Off?

Sectional cut-off is the minimum required percentile in each section of the sections to be eligible for the initial interview shortlisting at a B-School. For Example, IIM-A has a sectional cut of 70 for the general category.

Difference between Sectional and Overall Cut-Off: The sectional cutoff is determined based on your total score in a specific section. For example, around 25 marks in DILR can fetch you a 98+ percentile in the DILR section.  In contrast, the overall cutoff is calculated on the total raw score you get in all three sections of the exam.
