Part A
ABG touches millions in the world. It is unlikely that you have never used a product or traveled on a road or visited a site where ABG has not contributed in some way. Its presence in your life is massive.

In at least 250 words or more, tell us why Aditya Birla Group is big in your life.

“Live the Life of Your Dreams: Be brave enough to live the life of your dreams according to your vision and purpose instead of the expectations and opinions of others.” ― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart. This quote is highly suitable for great leaders, Mr. Ghanshyam Das Birla (Founding father and the man who set up many pre-Independent India’s critical Industries) and Mr. Aditya Vikram Birla (The man who established the first India-based multinational, putting India on the world map). Mr. Aditya Birla, who dared to dream of setting up a global business empire at the age of 24. With the help of former prime minister, Mr. Narasimha Rao and the former Union Finance Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh has set up 19 companies outside India.

The legacy of great leaders continuing, they set up industries in critical sectors like cement, fiber, chemicals and aluminum. According to 2018 data. The group had a revenue of approximately US$44.3 billion in year 2018. It is the third-largest Indian private sector conglomerate behind Tata Group with revenue of just over US$100 billion and RIL with revenue of US$74 billion. ABG and big companies like ABG are very important to country’s economy. They provide both goods and service jobs which helps to increase employment. ABG also doing great CSR activities, Training women to become entrepreneurs, illuminating lives of school children also providing scholarship to many students to complete their education, I can say ABG fulfilling dreams of many students. Not only these, there are so many great initiatives taken by ABG which directly or indirectly touches my heart.

Part B

At the core of the ABGLP program are people who drive to make an impact, irrespective of what challenges they face.

Tell us, in at least 250 words, how you overcame challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far.

Dare to Dream

“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” -Walt Disney. When I was studying in school my dream was to become Mr. Abdul Kalam because I was inspired by his work for our country. But I didn’t know how to achieve it. I come from a rural background, I never thought I will study in a great institute like IIM. But, from childhood I wanted to be a great person, wanted to be in a good position but didn’t know how to become one. I used to see my parents work hard, I used to work on fields on holidays and decided to study hard to overcome my family problems and to live a better life. I completed my schooling and intermediate in government a school with good a percentage with that inspiration.

There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.” Paulo Coelho. This is exactly what happened in my initial two years of B-tech. People always think that if they don’t achieve something then others also can’t. During my initial two years I faced so many discouragements. I came from regional language education system, so I had problem with English which was my biggest fear. With that fear and people discouragement I had stopped dreaming, faced so many problems, and at one point of time I decided to give up. But that didn’t stop me from dreaming, so I again continued my hard work with taking discouragement as an impetus to achieve good results.

My dream is not only for a better life for me and my family. My dream is to inspire people who have talent and build schools and hospitals for people who can’t afford to study and avail basic medical requirements in their life. I take many leaders as teachers not as role models because every creature in this earth is unique. I believe I can’t be like someone, but I can be in a good position as somebody with my unique personality.
