Man is a social animal and every day is an event in one’s life. Everyone has some ups and downs in their life. The essential thing here is that how you face these challenges and overcome the odds that are against you. The day, man is born to the day he leaves this planet there are infinite challenges that a man has to face. But only they stand out who battled these challenges with great grit and determination.
One of the most difficult periods of my life was, when I lost my beloved grandmother. And to add more heartache to it, I lost my grandmother about 15 days prior to my 12th board examinations. The reason why it was so difficult for me is because my grandmother and I shared a very special bond. She was always there for me. When my father gets angry on me, she was always there to save me. She always accompanied me in watching cricket because she was also a big cricket fan. I think the hardest part of losing someone isn’t getting a chance to say goodbye, but rather learning to live without them. Always trying to fill the void, the emptiness that’s left inside your heart when they go. Although I lost my grandmother, I still worked hard for my board exams and got 99.68 percentile and fulfilled my grandmother’s wish to get descent result in boards. Now, I feel like I have a guardian angel looking over me from heaven and I call her Grandma.
Other difficulty that I faced was when I was preparing for CAT 2018. Verbal was my weakness at that time and while writing mock tests I was getting very low score in Verbal section and better scores in the other two sections that is when I decided to work really hard to improve my verbal score. I started reading novels and also started reading different newspapers daily to improve on my vocabulary. Gradually I saw the improvement in my verbal score and I got descent percentile in verbal section in CAT 2018.
Thus, consistent hard work and sincerity towards your goal is essential to overcome the challenges one face in life.
