In the summers of 2019 I was travelling back to my village Shishoda which is situated near Udaipur,Rajasthan. Shishoda has a very rich history and is the birthplace of Shishodya Dynasty of Mewar. But the village is one of the most backward in the area with no roads and proper connectivity. People in this village were mostly dependent on agriculture as a source of income and lived in kucha houses, such is the condition of my village. But as I was on the path to village, I could see different things this time. Many laborers were working for construction of village road. The roads of the village were being made of cement. The travel time of Shishoda to main city will be reduced to just 30 mins from one hours. There were cement mixers on the road of ULTRATECH CEMENT. Cement used in the process of making roads was Ultratech cement. The road will empower villagers in many ways.It will give them better and  access to medical facilities, travel and transport time will be reduced significantly.

After a long journey I reached the village. In the outskirts of village I could see many small pucca houses being build. I was actually astonished to see the sudden and large scale  of development in the area. The houses was financed by the Government of India under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna .The smile of the peoples face when they were watching their dream houses being build. There were bags of cement lying outside the houses which were of Ultratech cement .

The Ultratech Cement helped in drastically changing the face and life of the village and its dwellers. From roads to houses, it opened the doors of development for all. The journey of development which was initially confined to just cites has now moved to villages. The real growth of India lies in the growth of its cities. Aditya Birla Groups  Ultratech Cement is providing a basic block to the development of the villages. Thus the Ultratech is not only Engineer’s Choice but is now India’s Choice.
