An essential part of everyone’s life is "transformation", and we always remember the entities that were a part of our transformation journey. Aditya Birla Group is one such entity for me. It was with me as Pantaloons when I was a girl, and it is still with me as Van Heusen when I am a woman. My all-time favourite shopping destination in college was Pantaloons, which had stores in almost all malls in Noida. Its wide range of clothing and accessories were so irresistible that it always wooed me. Be it a fresher party, a fun fest or a festival with family; Pantaloons has dresses for all occasions, which made it an integral part of my college life.

Moving ahead in life, I came across Van Heusen, which became my ultimate interview buddy. I bought my first formal suit for placements in graduation, and like a faithful friend, it has stayed with me since. It has helped me sail through 3 years of my professional life and the initial phase of my MBA journey. The look and feel of Van Heusen’s business suit gives another level of confidence to me, and I am certain that it will go on to become my permanent buddy for the next phase of my life after graduating from NITIE.

So ABG is like my transformation partner, which has been with me throughout my journey from an engineering college to a corporate employee and finally to a top management college. I am sure that it will be by my side as I move ahead in my journey to another phase of life.

In life, there are few challenges that we need to face alone with only our will by our side. But sometimes we need to step out to a completely unknown environment. This realization happened when I moved to Greater Noida to pursue my graduation. It was the first time when I moved out of my home and comfort zone. Since I am a single child, I was kept in a protective and safe environment. So living away from my parents in a completely new place was very difficult for me.

Greater Noida was an unsafe place for girls back then, which made my parents more worried about me. The situation was that all the girls were instructed to travel in groups and return before sunset. The initial few weeks were the toughest as I was in the process of knowing the people around and making friends. So adjusting to this unknown territory and be safe in it was what I learned through my initial months. The first-hand experience of being on my own for the first time made me stronger and independent. I made friends and learned the importance of friendship, courage and teamwork. It helped me sail through the difficult times and to turn it into the best years of my life.

Everyone has to face challenges in life where it feels that there is no way out. That is the time when we have to be the strongest and not lose hope, as that is the only way out.
