ABGLP Woo Me Competition (Part B)
Fear is an evil and the greatest of them is the fear of failure. You just sit back and see the opportunities passing by in front of your eyes because you don’t have the courage to stand up and try. This was the story of my life until I choose otherwise. I was one of the dumb students of school and was always bullied upon by other boys. I never attended public and family gatherings due to the embracement I would cause to my parents. Then one day when I was sitting in my room filled by these depressing thoughts my elder brother came and sat near by me and told that, “Its you who decide what you are, no one else gets the right to do so.” That hit somewhere deep in my mind and echoed throughout my heart and soul. The next thing I remember was how I started preparing for my 10th class boards. I studied all day and night, interacted with a lot of my friends and teachers, they were amaze to see such a drastic change in my personality. Now everyone was telling me that I have the potential to be one of the brightest kids in school. I also started playing football and became a part of my school football team. I started seeing life in different colours now and I was flying in those colours. Then came the day when I realized what my brother was talking about that day, the results for class 10th boards were out and I scored a 9.8 CGPA. My parents were so happy and I was happy to see them so proud of me. I do not stop after that, I started trying different things which were out of my comfort zone. Meanwhile I also represented my state in the national tournament for football. I also became the head boy of my school and was awarded the student of the year in my high school. I remember what exactly I said in my school farewell speech that day.
“Don’t give up on yourself, you never know what life has got in the packet for you. You will make it to the top, if not today than tomorrow but till than keep trying and keep hustling. You are the hero of your own story.”
