IIM Udaipur. It wouldn’t be a hyperbolic statement if I say I was born here. My batchmates who have opposing viewpoints in class discussions would have to agree here! I mean this place changed us, it transformed us for better. Like the caterpillar can only soar in the sky, after breaking the cocoon, we too have transformed after breaking out of the shell we came in. Two magic words have made this possible: “Why NOT”.
After a week of settling in, I came across Antakshari competition. Now mind you, I am a terrible singer with massive stage fright. Call this sheer foolishness or courageous act, I signed up! Fast forward to the evening I was trembling, but I sang…I sang with all my heart, I poured my soul into it. Now if you are thinking I got a standing ovation when you are dead wrong, but I got the sheer confidence to tackle all that could come my way. This all started with Why NOT!
As I look back, my journey in IIM Udaipur has been a series of Why NOTs. I learnt to take on challenges head-on. There were instances when I didn’t know things, I didn’t know even the basics, but the habit inculcated in me by IIM Udaipur made me soar through the sky, whether be it competitions or case discussions. That doesn’t mean I didn’t fall, I fell multiple times, all bruised and broken, but the will kept me going. I had become strong and wasn’t afraid of failures. This I firmly believe is what makes IIM Udaipur unique. You don’t emerge as a better manager but rather as a human who takes challenges head-on, you aren’t afraid of failing, rather you are always ready to rise from the fall.
I wasn’t alone to go through the experience, I see my batch mates, and newly joined juniors evolve daily. IIM Udaipur has been supportive of each and every student who has tried to improve. I have seen students who would stutter a lot, narrate gripping stories fluently. I see start-ups taking off of students who joined to become entrepreneurs. I see students who wanted to explore their creative side, make short films and music videos. I see IIM Udaipur giving a platform to all those have guts to say - “Why NOT”
If this doesn’t make my IIM Udaipur unique I don’t know what will ;)

Aditya Birla Retail Limited excites me to the core. I am interested in FMCG products and the very idea that I would be managing the retail outlets gives me thrills. I have a passion for marketing, but more than that I have a keen interest in understanding the consumer behavior and using this knowledge for practical purposes such as driving up sales, better services, and convenience etc. would mean I would be living my passion, putting my best skills on use and at the same time learn daily due to the unique challenges I would face. This company would help me grow personally as well as professionally.
