Part- A: Why is Aditya Birla Group big in your life?
Aditya Birla Group has been and will continue to be an important part of our life. Coming from Patna, Pantaloons was among the first few Fashion & Retails stores to have opened its branch there. Hence, the first shopping destination for all my apparel needs became ‘India's Most Trusted Apparel Retail Brand’, Pantaloons. It served to all my formal wear to party wear needs. I have never left Pantaloons unsatisfied. The wide range of options to choose from has satiated all my needs. Also, the offers provided are quite lucrative and covers all my preferences.
Once I faced a quality issue after the purchase of a brand of clothing, which is a division of the Aditya Birla Group. The customer support service of Aditya Birla Retail Group addressed my issue and provided me a quick refund. I was impressed by their proactive customer support service team who assisted me in every step and continuously followed up with me regarding the issue.
We are well aware of the importance of planning our finance’s properly. Section 80C allows an annual tax benefit of up to Rs 1.5 lakh in one or more eligible investments and specified expenses. In order to avail the benefit of Section 80C, I had invested in Aditya Birla Sun Life Tax Relief 96 Fund when I was working in Accenture Solutions. The fund showed a consistent performance and has been doing well since inception. It has been ranked in Top 5 in the CRISIL ranking also. These attributes helped me chose this mutual fund. I have been pleased with this decision of mine.
Even though we realize or not, Aditya Birla has been cardinal in shaping our decisions of day-to-day activities.
Part- B: How did you overcome challenges to achieve your ambitions in life so far?
When I joined Accenture Solutions I was trained in SAP for Material Management module. I was allotted a role similar to the module I was trained in. However, when I joined the project there was a change in the role due to issues related to requirements in the project. I was put to work on SAP in the Sales and Distribution module. Being completely new to Sales and Distribution, I faced difficulty while working. Though my colleagues were supportive and assisted me, still I lagged behind. My performance was getting affected. I knew I had to put extra effort to keep pace. Hence, going by the proverb “Practice makes a man perfect”, I put in that extra effort. I gathered all the notes from my colleagues and studied them sincerely. Within a week’s time, I was aware of almost all the concepts of the Sales and Distribution module. The new concepts further charged me to take up new responsibilities and I did take up the additional responsibility of testing the small projects within the team. These small projects provided me the ground to practice my concepts. I created new test scenarios and did the end to end testing of the same. With time, I became an expert in testing all scenarios in Sales and Distribution. I mentored my team members on the testing process and assisted them with all the necessary test data when needed. I give all the credit of my achievements to the practice I did on the basic concepts. According to me, being resilient and practice can help one overcome challenges.
