Overcoming challenges and taking charge of my life.
I believe that in order to achieve one’s ambitions a person has to transcend a huge learning curve which equips them to cope up with whatever challenges they may come across along the way. So, when I decided to pursue an MBA to materialize my aspirations of entering the corporate world, I made sure that I put in my best efforts and make it to a top ranked B-school.
Soon, I started studying for long hours and secluded myself in a single room. I stopped talking to a lot of my friends and preoccupied myself with the books, the assignments and the mock tests. Scores became immensely important to me and determined my mood for the large part. A good score would make me ecstatic and a low score would leave me just as disheartened. As the exam date inched closer, I hit the rock-bottom and acquired a very negative outlook towards things.
That was the time when my friends and family intervened and helped me come out of that state of mind. They started taking time out of their own schedules to take me to dinners and casual strolls in the park. The improvement in both, my attitude towards things and my scores, soon became evident and I started spending more time with my friends. Ultimately, all my efforts and hard work paid off and I scored much beyond my own expectations. It was after an elaborate and taxing selection process, that I got accepted into XIMB and now that I’m here, I truly believe it is the right platform for me to enhance my personality and learn from my peers.
