I was returning home from my office around 8 pm; I got a call from my brother. To my surprise, I heard someone's voice. ‘Who's this?' I asked. ‘Hello! I am Arun. This phone owner has met with an accident, and he is unconscious right now. Please come to ABC hospital asap', said that generous person. I was clueless and stuck with such news about my brother, whom I love so much than anyone else. With full of anguish, I rushed to the hospital. When the chief surgeon came out of the theatre, I rushed to him to know about Ram's condition.
‘His health was very critical as the blood that flows through the brain clotted at multiple places. I can't be sure about his recovery, but an immediate operation will increase the chances', said the surgeon. Then they gave me the bill to pay the operation fee. The fees were huge in numbers, which amounts to 1 lakh per day for at least 20days. I was devastated by seeing that number figure as it was impossible to pay by a middle-class family. My mother was not reacted much to this. She seemed calm and composed.
Suddenly she took some papers and gave it to the cash counter. I could see some hope in her eyes and when I approached her, ‘Don't worry! I paid the operation fee. Let's pray for the betterment of Ram', she said. I was still excited about how come a few papers settled the huge amount of money. Suddenly, I went near the counter and saw these words "Aditya Birla Health Insurance" These are not only just words but the mantras of getting a life. They sanctioned the insured amount so quickly and hassle-free. This insurance firm saved my family from getting debt-ridden forever and brought a spectrum of

Challenges are inevitable! Face it!
I am not an alumnus of IIT or NIT, which itself the most significant challenge I am facing since I joined IIM Ranchi. Before telling my current one, I would like to rewind the hardships in my life and share them with you.
I belong to a mediocre family in a small town where education is not at par with CBSE standard. I grew under the advice of a typical middle-class father, which I should study hard and score good marks. I was an average student who didn't get any appreciation or criticism as well from teacher till my 12th standard. Having known the seriousness and the responsibilities of my family, I started to work hard to score good marks. It wasn't that easy for an average student like me to compete with class toppers.
My determination was strong enough, and my focus was undeterred. Studying for at least 4 hrs at home had become my regular habit. I started to behave like a robot which does things regularly without fail. As the days passed and the exams over, the results came. I wasn't sure what would be. With a lot of joy, my friends told me that I was the highest scorer. Not able to digest myself as that was the first time I got first in school and also in my town. Hard work, dedication, and commitment were the pillars on which I constructed my dream.
Then fast forwarding my life, I got an engineering seat from one of the top 10 private colleges in Tamil Nadu, enjoyed four golden years of my college and got placed in Infosys Ltd. After working for two years, I gave CAT and secured a guaranteed percentile to get a CAP call.
Luckily, I converted IIM Ranchi, which I didn't expect at all after my WAT-PI. After I came to IIM Ranchi, the next big challenge is to compete with the best brains of IITs and NITs. It is not so easy for a student who graduated from a state university.
After all, I am a student of IIM, so there is a level-playing ground here. Rather than stifled within my boundaries, let’s go out there and fight!!!.
