Every boy dreams of buying the world for their parents. However, due to economic conditions of our countries most of us settle for small trinkets of joy & being a fresher right out of college it’s hard to find a good job and ESPECIALLY the ones that pay. Hence, the idea of small trinkets gets converted to an even smaller bundle of joys that may not mean for much but look like the world to us. With what is had and what my expenses where it was a miracle I was able to make a savings but nothing substantial to buy something good. Hence, I planned to save until I could buy them a proper gift and started investing in their name. I looked through the various investment opportunities and offers and chose the ABG’s mutual fund as a good bet.  Out of the various modes I chose Aditya Birla Sun Life Equity Hybrid '95 Fund both small and mid-cap options to get the most out of what little I had. Now, this was 2 years ago and I joined my MBA last year, but I managed to keep saving and keeping my fund alive and gave them the fund as the gift. This was one of the best moments of my life. This not only made me equally happy but also helped me start a long-term fund for my family.

Problems are a necessary part of life and the most recent one which I faced sounds something straight out of a movie. Straight into the story, I was fresh out of school and with commerce background, I automatically fell into the CA aspirant cycle. Soon I realized this was not for me and after my under-grads I was asked to drop CA and move to a more oriented carrier path. Hence the next best thing, MBA. here’s, the catch, no one told me about the MBA or the CAT exam until a month before the exam. With panic and rush, I looked for tuitions and books that would help me grab a quick win but before I could process this shock, there came another that my relative back in Rajasthan was sick and the entire family had to be called to there side. We rushed to Rajasthan and with a heavy heart, I thought of dropping a year. Unfortunately, my family had something else planned and didn’t bother to tell me. So, on the day of the CAT, I flew down to the city of joy and made it to the center in the nick of time and managed to somehow give the exam without prep and fly back to be beside my sick grandma. Without prep, I thought I was lost however on the day of results I still managed to survive and applied for all the colleges that were still open and hence I joined one of the best colleges in the country.
