Above all, the core thing that Birla has really taught me is the life value. The way in which Birla transformed themselves from a simple jute mill in 90s to the leading business of India really inspired me. They are the ones who are competing with leading businesses without any fear. The company has taught me about consistency, adaptivity, guidelines and to be ethical. ABG’s sustainability practice and investment in innovation is something extraordinary that makes me feel better.

I was in my 2nd year of my college degree in 2015 when my country, Nepal, was hit by 7.8 magnitude earthquake. It was a chaos everywhere and more than 9000 people lost their lives. I couldn’t stay for long under the makeshift tents but soon started to move outside helping others. I joined Solidarity International, a youth-led INGO, as a volunteer. Later I was given opportunity to coordinate earthquake medical camps in 8 districts of Nepal. The experience I had during that crucial moment, the long hours I spent outside home and being a girl in a male dominant society like Nepal, made me realize what I love to do. The project I coordinated directly befitted 1700 family and more than 2500 individuals. Being part of saving and connecting lives is beyond happiness. I understood the true me; the time I spent in rural local communities in Nepal, working with local government bodies and international doctors from around the world made me realize that administration is the domain where I belong to. I am an optimistic girl. I love to embrace positivity in whatever I do in my life. My life main mantra is to never give up and stay positive as ABG core values. ABG proved that your hard work can really pay off. Today the company has completed its decade with us and still we trust the company. ABG role in community outreach and engagement program is one of the fundamental success any company possess. Youths like me who aim to make community better by doing research and supporting various environment-related problems and involving projects that improve the lives of people is something ABG has taught me and I am really proud to be part of ABG.
