Why ABG is big in your life ?
ABG has been a important contributor in making of the developed India. They have expanded as a conglomerate into everything. We use their products in every corner of our lives. There is no day in our life that goes without ABG touching it in one or another way. My story is about my interview say at MDI Gurgaon. That was the first day I was completely suited up. I entered the interview room with little nervousness and the first conversation with the interview panel was regarding my suit which I had bought from Van Heusen.
We were discussing about the importance of correct dressing at different occasions and knowing that I myself was perfectly dressed, I could drive the conversation with utmost confidence. I obviously was selected for MDI Gurgaon and I cherish that suit as my favourite till now.
How have you made an impact?
While working at RocSearch, I was required to work for a client based in US who was famous for nit-picking and criticizing the work that you have done. However, being an important account for the company, we had to comply with his irrational requests which usually had short turnaround times.
In one such request, my manager being on leave, I had to coordinate with the client. Since I was in-charge of the project now, I had to handle a team of 5-6 new joinees who were supposed to work on the project. Moreover, the client used to call and send requests at odd times such as 1 or 2 am which we needed to comply with. During this period, I was severely under pressure as my manager had put his trust in me to fulfil the client’s requests. Moreover, I also needed to reduce the dissonance in the team due to increasing work pressure and late timings.
However, in the end, I was able to fulfil the needs of the client and he was happy with the work we had done. Further, I was able to reduce the dissatisfaction within the team by making them realise the importance of the project and their opportunity for growth and personal development through the same.
