They say that time that goes by never comes back but when we knock on the doors of our memories we are welcomed with some of the most beautiful moments hidden somewhere back of our minds. Starting of the day with a reveille in our homes “Get up you are running late”to “Are you eating properly now that you are living far away from us”, we all have come to terms that parents are the only one that looks out for us no matter where we are or what we do. Looking at the old photographs through our mobile phones we remember the vacations we had with our friends, joke about how we used to dress up and used to live life in a carefree way. But if we look more closely there are other things that facilitate those memories. Things in whose absence maybe those memories won’t be the way they are right now. I still remember my mother used to prepare my lunch box every morning  when I was in middle school and being a picky eater I would never settle for the plain old flatbread so to make me eat proper meals there was an unspoken deal in between us where she would make special dishes every alternate day so that I won’t through a tantrum over the regular food. Till date, I remember opening up the foil and waiting to see what surprise was there in the lunch box. Maybe it was a regular thing in every household but for me, that tin foil brought a whole new level of excitement because it was indicating that something good is yet to come. On my tenth birthday my grandparents specially came from Kanpur to greet me and it was in five years that I was seeing them for the first time and was super elated to see have them there and planned the whole day ahead of us and at the end when we were cutting the cake they brought out a Pantaloon bag with a dress inside it which turned out to be my first birthday present ever.

I can go on telling stories from my childhood, but what I found the most common thing in all these memories was how they all had something common in them that is the name behind all these brands. In our day to day lives we don’t pay attention to small details but if we focus, we would find there is a whole world of related things around us and we are at the centre of it, living and existing, using those goods or commodities time and again, making memories with them and they exist there facilitating our needs. Substitutes might exist and maybe a better product has taken its place but at that moment and in that time that product or service facilitated that memory and that is what makes it special. That is what makes the name of Aditya Birla Group special for me. I might not have used their products or services with an intent in mind but the products that they bring, the causes that they support did become a part of my life without me realising and turned me from a one-time customer to a regular consumer. I think the major reason why an individual associate themselves with a certain brand is because the brand also stands for the similar causes. Their growth might not have come at a fast pace but they deliver what they are good at and it wins my support for that reason.  I still remember my first formal event where I was supposed to wear a business suit and was short of time and had to go for window shopping from Allen Solly. Till date I have tried and tested everything but the way it fits has been incomparable for me. Such small things are what makes the part of the bigger story of how millions of us consumers who are associated with the brand must feel we all never planned to associate ourselves with a brand with a reason but in the end they delivered services that made us opt for them and made them a part of our day to day lives without us real insight.
