Aditya Birla Group is a giant business firm in India, offering innovative products and services, reaching out to millions globally. It is one of the many Indian conglomerates that have made it large in the entire world by adding value and purpose. It is a dream company to work with for most of the B-school aspirants and is in the league of Fortune 500 organizations.

The Group affects millions of lives in 35 countries. With a work force of 120,000, it’s the third largest Indian private sector conglomerate with $44.3 billion in revenue in 2018. From apparel retail such as pantaloons to the food-grade aluminium foil used every day in Indian households, Aditya Birla Group not only shelters the needs of day to day customers, but its impact is far beyond our imagination. It has touched many lives including me.

I think ABG and its products are connected to many Indians. I remember how my mother used to make freshly prepared food for me wrapped in freshwrapp aluminium foil , a product by Hindalco industries of ABG. And How can someone forget their Peter England and Allen solly clothing brand. The Fashion and Retail enterprise of ABG is one of the elite clothing lines in India and all over the world. I remember how my brother used to go to his office wearing that with a sense of pride in him.

During my growing years, me and my friends regularly used to shop from Pantaloons. We could get affordable, high-quality clothes for the whole family in one place. So it was like a shopping destination for us on any occasion or festival.

Now coming to the Telecom section, Who can forget “ What an idea sirjee”. My family has been using its services for a very long time.

Challenges Overcome to achieve my Ambitions

While working for a team project at my workplace earlier, there came up a point when two of our important team members fell sick. The project was a very critical one and the client was very demanding. Initially it was very tough for me to handle so many tasks at one go , later on, on seeing that the deadlines are fast approaching, I took charge of one of my team member’s work, stayed back a many times at night and completed the work in time, and this resulted in huge appreciation from the entire client team and company for delivering a quality project within deadlines.

During my onsite visit to Nigeria I had to face many challenges. Our deadline was nearing for our deliverables , but due to some upgrade of our product, our system was facing difficulties in integration with our client’s system. We had to do many changes, change our code contacting our technical and sales team back in India for a right solution, simultaneously requesting our clients for deadline extension. At that moment, I took charge as I was the senior amongst member from my team and with full potential and support from my time, I was able to deliver the project on time.
