WHY ADITYA BIRLA GROUP?

I, like many other millennials, have grown up listening to the success stories of the brands like Aditya Birla Group, TATA and Reliance, the latter two famous for the patriotic and Guajarati images. One aspect that always intrigued me about Aditya Birla Group is of course Idea. Nothing much about the product though, but I loved the iconic ad song. And later I started identifying Idea with the song every time. Beyond the product, what got my attention was the clarity of thought in the advertisement and the reach it had to the target audience. How different parts of the advertisement helped in branding the product, encouraged me to dig deeper on the marketing and branding of a company. Also, one of my biggest take-aways from ads like that was to look at claims from both the marketers and consumers perspective. And how brands target personality of people to lure them to buy the product. The diversity of India, I think, has allowed brands to pick their consumers, a rare luxury a lot of companies do not have today. In a way, creating categories and different consumer banks across the subcontinent. No offence, I feel the brands are somewhere responsible in making the world judgmental.

All said and done, the interest on ads, products and brands have pulled me towards my MBA.

Apart from the products like Idea, cements that my people might have used, I like and respect ABG for being a good memory and serving millions of Indians.

Challenges that I faced in my path:

Spent a long time trying to list out challenges I faced till date, and for some reason I couldn’t. And then I realized I had a comfortable journey till now. It made me thank my people for making the journey without many big challenges. Being the only kid, I was always brought up as a princess but when I came out for the first time in the real world without my family, that’s where I realized how badly I was dependent on them for every small thing that I needed in my life. Sounds really funny but even crossing road become a big task for me as in my life till that time I always as a hand which holds me , then I realized in the beginning few days it was tough on my part to do even my daily activities but now I am a completely independent women , who can guide the younger one in the right path , taking care of my family, friends. Not only that but also a confident, self-motivated person who never had guts to deny anything said by others but now able to take a stand for myself and even for others whenever required. I had learned the most important part of lesson to say ‘’No’’ when necessary. I am really grateful that I have a wonderful family which always supports me and allows me to take my decisions on my own and incase if they went wrong they are always supportive, this made me learn from my mistakes and to move front in my life with a positive attitude.
